Common questions
When do new daily puzzles come out?
Every day at local midnight, a new Easy, Medium, and Hard daily appears. Everyone gets the same three puzzles for the same date, so you can compare times.
How do streaks work?
Solve at least one daily puzzle each day to keep your streak going. Replaying a past daily counts toward your best times, but not toward your streak.
How do I sync my games between devices?
Your games, streaks, and best times sync through your own iCloud. Sign in with the same Apple Account on each device and make sure iCloud is turned on. Syncing can take a few moments after you finish a puzzle.
Your data goes to your private iCloud account, not to us.
I bought Thank You Extras. How do I get it on another device?
Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy it.
What do Thank You Extras and tips unlock?
Thank You Extras is a one-time unlock that lets you replay any past daily from the calendar and adds more color themes. Tips are extra thanks and don't unlock anything more. Every puzzle and every hint is free either way.
Are hints free?
Yes, every hint is free. Hints come in steps: the name of the technique, then where to look, then the reasoning, and only then the answer. Take just as much as you need.
I'm left-handed. Can I move the buttons?
Yes. In Settings, you can choose which side the Pencil and Erase Buttons sit on.
How do I turn the red conflict marks on or off?
In Settings, use Flag Conflicts as You Play. With it off, you can still check your work any time with Validate.
Can I get a reminder to play?
Yes. Turn on Daily Reminder in Settings and pick a time. It's off until you turn it on.
